Existing systems

Support for grease trap systems already in place.

Actem does not just help with new installations. Existing grease traps, grease recovery units and related systems can still be cleaned, serviced, reviewed and taken over even if they were installed by someone else.

Common starting point

Most kitchens do not start from a blank sheet

Many sites already have a system in place, but do not know whether it is suitable, overdue service, poorly maintained, incorrectly sized or simply being used without a clear plan. Actem can start from what is already on site and help work out the next sensible step.

Typical situations

Where existing systems usually become a problem

  • • A trap or GRU is already installed but has not been serviced properly
  • • The site inherited the system from a previous operator or contractor
  • • The current setup is creating smells, slow drainage or repeat failures
  • • The site needs a review before deciding whether cleaning, repair or replacement is the right route

Installed by others is not a blocker

Actem can still assess and support systems that were not originally supplied or installed by us.

Review before replacement

Not every problem means a full replacement. Sometimes the right first step is a proper clean, service or survey.

Practical next-step advice

The aim is to clarify the condition of the system and what is worth doing next, not push a one-size-fits-all answer.
